THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT WAS SIGNED INTO LAW ON THIS DAY (1965)


Today in 1965 LBJ signed the Voting Rights Act into 
law enforcing the 15th Amendment, prohibiting the 
use of tactics denying access to vote & targeting 
states with greatest discrimination.
